Job Title: Stoma Care Specialist Therapist

At Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join our Stoma specialist nursing team as a Stoma Care Specialist Therapist.

About the Role:

This is a brand new opportunity for an AHP to work with patients before and after stoma surgery, providing a comprehensive therapy service and supporting timely and effective care. As part of our specialist stoma team, you will support patients and carers in receiving high-quality care, support, and advice.

The post holder will manage a clinical caseload with autonomy, working without direct supervision. You will undertake comprehensive assessments, provide therapeutic diagnoses, and implement agreed treatment plans. You will also provide individual or group therapy as appropriate to setting and develop programs of care to support discharge from service.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage a clinical caseload with autonomy, working without direct supervision.
  2. Undertake comprehensive AHP assessments, provide therapeutic diagnoses, and implement agreed treatment plans.
  3. Provide individual or group therapy as appropriate to setting.
  4. Develop programs of care to support discharge from service.
