Electrical Instrumentation Control Automation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Instrumentation Control Automation Specialist to join our team at Belcan Workforce Solutions. The successful candidate will work on a 9-month contract for one of our clients in the Water industry based in Reading.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out engineering works using own initiative, to agreed milestones, budgets, and quality targets.
- Identify engineering scope change and effectively manage the process of change control.
- Ensure quality in all engineering designs and projects, including checking discipline design deliverables to company procedures and compliance with all BUK safety rules and CDM requirements for design work.
- Produce and supervise production of detailed EICA specifications and scopes of work, EICA design drawings, EICA schedules, and EICA calculations.
- Selection and specification of general LV electrical items, general items of equipment, and instrumentation equipment.
- Use software packages for EICA engineering designs, including AutoCAD 2D, AMTECH, or similar Pro Design, Microsoft Office Packages, and AutoCAD Electrical.
- Apply functional safety requirements to IEC61508 / 61511 and author or provide technical governance FDS documentation.
- Have a good understanding of different types of control systems and their applications to industry.
- Knowledge of current standards and codes of practice, including ATEX, CDM, BS 7671, and Thames Water F15 and F24 Asset Standards.
Requirements:
- HNC / HND in an EICA Engineering Discipline.
- Bachelor's BEng Degree in EICA Engineering (Preferred).
- Extensive experience in Electrical Instrumentation Control Automation - EICA Engineering and Design.
- Incorporated Status IEng with an accredited organisation (Preferred).
- Sound technical knowledge and expertise in all areas of EICA engineering.
- Experienced in carrying out multi-discipline engineering projects.
- Application of all key relevant British and European standards and regulations.
- Experience within the Water Industry.
