Job Title: Export Administrator

Sims Limited is a global leader in metal recycling, with a strong commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Export Administrator to join our team in Long Marston.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce accurate export documentation and invoices to enable timely payment from customers.
  • Provide general administration/secretarial support services to Export Managers, including liaison with shipping agents, export depots, banks, and overseas sales offices.
  • Telephone liaison with foreign customers as necessary.
  • Credit control, including producing statements and chasing customers or their bankers for payments as necessary.
  • Production of export documents and sales invoices.
  • Assisting the Export Manager and relevant commercial and site managers in invoicing customers, ensuring receipt of payment, including chasing them or their bankers for payments if necessary.
  • Updating spreadsheets with accurate information.
  • Liaise with Sims sites for the timely planning of export loads.
  • Plan and action container bookings with ocean carriers and freight forwarders.
  • Process freight invoices.

  • Previous experience in a shipping or logistics industry would be an advantage, but not essential.
