Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the running of the shift, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard and that staff are working efficiently.
  • Delegating and planning activities and responsibilities to staff as appropriate, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and training to perform their duties.
  • Deal with any issues and problems that arise during the shift, using your excellent communication and problem-solving skills to resolve them.
  • Work closely with other members of the team to ensure that the care needs of residents are met, and that their dignity and privacy are respected.
  • Administer prescribed medication in accordance with the relevant procedures, individual care plans, and risk assessments.
  • Help in the care of the residents' physical environment and in the general day-to-day activities of the home.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and other stakeholders, using your excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

  • QCF/NVQ level 3 or above in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards it, or relevant work experience.
  • A genuine interest in providing the best person-centered care possible.
  • Willingness to learn and develop.
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Experience working within the care sector/mental health would be an advantage.
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS.
