Job Description:

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Education Support Assistant to join our team at SMART Education Recruitment. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in the development of pupils' educational and social needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in the classroom, assisting with lesson planning and delivery
  • Work with small groups of pupils, providing individualized support and guidance
  • Assist with the development of pupils' skills and knowledge, promoting a love of learning
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, pupils, and parents to ensure a smooth and successful learning experience

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification as a teaching assistant or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a teaching assistant in primary schools
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Understanding of and experience with safeguarding practices
