Transportation Coordinator

As a Transportation Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in creating effective transportation plans for our customers within the Stobart network, while ensuring compliance with legal responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and plan drivers through ongoing communication and utilizing our state-of-the-art transportation software.
- Control and plan an agreed amount of resources (vehicles, drivers, trailers) to ensure all legal requirements are met (Working Time Directive and EU drivers' hours regulations).
- Ensure the daily plan is completed in real-time, managing resources effectively to maximize utilization while minimizing costs.
- Maintain our internal tracking systems to an exceptional standard.
- Regularly use in-house planning tools and systems to manage workload and monitor efficiency.
- Understand and achieve key performance targets related to the safety and efficiency of our fleet (including utilization and costing).
- Communicate regularly with customer service teams and drivers to ensure customer KPIs and targets are achieved and maintained.
- Ability to work independently with the willingness to resolve complex issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
- CPC desirable but not required.
- Experience in planning across multiple depots.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurized environment.
- Customer focus on delivery performance.
- Commercially and financially astute with a drive to deliver exceptional results.
- Experience with a TMS system.
- Experience in an FMCG environment.
