Transportation Coordinator

As a Transport Planner at Stobart, you will play a crucial role in creating effective transportation plans for our customers within the wider Stobart network, while ensuring compliance with legal responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Effective Management: Manage and plan drivers through ongoing communication and the use of state-of-the-art transportation software.
- Resource Planning: Control and plan an agreed amount of resources (vehicles, drivers, trailers) to ensure all legal requirements are met, including the Working Time Directive and EU drivers' hours regulations.
- Real-Time Planning: Ensure the daily plan is completed in real-time, managing resources effectively to maximize utilization while minimizing costs.
- System Maintenance: Ensure internal tracking systems are kept organized and updated to an exceptional standard.
- Planning Tools: Regularly use in-house planning tools and systems to manage workload and monitor efficiency.
- Performance Targets: Understand and achieve key performance targets related to the safety and efficiency of our fleet, including utilization and costing.
- Customer Communication: Constantly communicate with customer service teams and drivers to ensure customer KPIs and targets are achieved and maintained.
- Initiative and Problem-Solving: Ability to work independently and resolve complex issues.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as a good geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Desirable Qualifications: CPC, experience with planning across multiple depots, excellent communication skills, customer focus on delivery performance, and commercial and financial acumen.
