Learning Disability Support Professional Role

Location: London - Various Locations
Shifts: Flexible working hours
Salary: £13.20 - £15.35 per hour (with the ability to access a percentage of your earnings in just 4 days or less after completing shifts)

SweetTree Home Care Services is seeking a dedicated Learning Disability Support Professional to join our award-winning team. If you're an experienced Support Worker with a deep understanding of individuals' needs and the importance of person-centred care, we want to hear from you. Your hands-on experience and commitment to making a difference in people's lives set you apart. As a Learning Disability Support Professional, you'll receive specialised training and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and clinicians. We require a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week, with a minimum of 3-hour visits per client to ensure the highest level of care.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 months' experience with learning disabilities and autism is a strong advantage.
  • Provide one-on-one support in clients' homes.
  • Cultivate a positive and supportive environment that promotes independence and well-being.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Learning Disability Support Professional, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of our clients. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting with meal preparation.
  • Supporting individuals with household tasks and upkeep.
  • Administering medication.
  • Facilitating community engagement and participation.
  • Accompanying individuals on shopping trips and outings.
  • Coordinating and attending medical appointments.
  • Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
