Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Support Professional to join our team at Beam ABA Services in North London. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with autism and learning disabilities in their homes and communities.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a high level of dedication and commitment. You will work closely with our experienced team to provide person-centered support, teaching functional skills, developing communication systems, and enhancing social skills. Your primary focus will be on promoting empowerment and choice within a framework that adheres to best practices in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).

Key Responsibilities
  • To assist in the implementation of person-centered programs utilizing ABA and PBS best practices.
  • To support service users by teaching functional skills, developing communication systems, and enhancing social skills under a framework that provides choice and promotes empowerment.
  • To monitor and take accurate data daily as per service users' targets.
  • To support individuals during times of crisis, such as behaviors of concern.
  • To assist service users with self-help skills, including personal care and hygiene needs.
Requirements
  • 1 year of applied experience working with individuals with a diagnosis of learning disability and/or autism.
  • Experience supporting non-verbal individuals, promoting alternative modes of communication.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Undergraduate Degree in Psychology or related field.
  • 2+ years of applied experience working with individuals with a diagnosis of learning disability and/or autism.
  • Experience supporting individuals who may display behaviors of concern.
  • Experience utilizing ABA/PBS methodology.
  • Clean driver's license.
Benefits
  • Full-time positions available, paid at an hourly rate of £12.15-£14 depending on qualifications and experience. Immediate salary from £22,113-£25,480 based on a 35-hour working week, with potential overtime hours.
  • 30 days' paid holiday per year pro-rata, plus full training.
  • Discretionary contribution toward professional accreditation opportunities, including RBT training, MSc in ABA, BCaBA and BCBA supervision, NVQ Level 3, Level 5, Level 7 certification.
  • DBS costs covered by BEAM.
  • Salary available immediately for eligible candidates.
Location

The position will be based in North London, covering areas including Camden, Hillingdon, Haringey, and Enfield. We require applicants to be available to work across both weekdays and weekends.
