Career Legal is seeking an experienced AML Compliance Manager to join our team in a permanent capacity. As a key member of our Risk & Compliance department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the day-to-day CDD and AML duties, as well as overseeing/supervising the AML/Risk & Compliance team.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage the AML/Risk & Compliance team, providing strong line management and overseeing the workflow and delegation of work to the wider team.
- Regularly deliver AML/Risk & Compliance training to ensure the team is up-to-date with the latest regulations and best practices.
- Provide AML and compliance advice to key internal stakeholders on a regular basis, ensuring that all business activities are conducted in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Chair AML working groups to ensure effective collaboration and communication among team members.
- Prepare and report on AML developments, identifying areas of risk and implementing controls to mitigate them.
- Evaluate and escalate issues to the MLCO (when necessary), ensuring that all concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
- Previous experience of managing an AML/Risk & Compliance team at an international law firm.
- Degree educated (or be UK/overseas qualified).
- Detailed knowledge of SRA and AML/CTF requirements.
- Ideal candidate will have a recognised AML/Compliance qualification.
