Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop ion trap quantum computing systems
  • Contribute to software and experimental control systems
  • Communicate progress and discuss results with NQCC scientists
  • Represent the NQCC at STFC and external events
Requirements:
  • Achieved, or be on course to achieve, a minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant field of study
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK at time of starting employment
  • Demonstrable interest in quantum science and technology

Desirable:
  • Technical knowledge in quantum computing

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research and development projects, collaborating with leading experts in the field. If you are passionate about quantum science and technology and have the skills and experience required for this role, we encourage you to apply.

Please submit your CV and a cover letter as part of your application. Assessment will be based on the content of your submitted covering letter and CV, and not the 'experience' section of the application.
