We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at HMP Stafford, a male prison located in the West Midlands. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients.

About the Role

This is a full-time contract position, offering a competitive salary between £28,247 - £32,346 per annum FTE, depending on experience. You will receive bespoke induction training, including our Introducing Health in Justice course, as well as opportunities for regional and national career development.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain patient medical records to the highest standard, adhering to standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure timely administration of medicines, analyzing cost-effective prescribing according to our unique health in justice medicines policy.
  • Share information on pharmaceutical products, medicines optimization, drug regimes, and general health education with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 or above, BTEC, or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Up-to-date Continual Professional Development (CPD).
  • General GCSE education or equivalent.
