The Children's Society is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic and ambitious team in our shop in Cambridge. As an Assistant Manager, you will assist the Shop Manager in all aspects of the retail business, including driving sales, managing stock and donations, and developing and growing the business within the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Shop Manager in maximising sales and be responsible for running the shop in their absence.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of stock, donations, and sales.
  • Supervise a team of volunteers and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.

Requirements:

  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of the retail environment and ability to supervise a team of volunteers.
  • Cash handling and customer service skills.
