Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pharmaceutical Services Coordinator to join our Medicines Management team at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust.

This is a stimulating and diverse role that will provide opportunities for professional growth and development in a patient-centered environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high-quality medicines management services to designated bedded areas, working closely with healthcare professionals to optimize medication use and improve patient outcomes.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of patients' medications, including Patients Own Drugs (PODs) schemes
  • Work collaboratively with ward teams to ensure safe and effective medication administration
  • Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement in medicines management practices
  • Provide education and training to staff on medicines management policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement initiatives to improve medication adherence and reduce medication errors
Requirements
  • BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in pharmaceutical services or equivalent
  • Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Extensive post-qualification hospital experience
  • Primary and community health experience
