Our organisation has 30 years of experience delivering free crisis, advocacy, wellbeing and counselling services to those in need. We are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for our clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide face-to-face and telephone support to clients, offering practical and emotional assistance as needed.
  • Conduct thorough risk and needs assessments using the SAS tool to develop individual service plans.
  • Support clients through the criminal justice system, explaining procedures and professionals' roles, and advocating for their rights.
  • Advocate for special measures and attend pre-trial visits and CPS meetings as required.
  • Support clients in understanding their options and providing intelligence to the police, as well as connecting them with other necessary services.
  • Identify and respond to safeguarding, child protection, and POVA issues as appropriate.
  • Work within a multi-agency framework, representing clients' needs and promoting New Pathways as necessary.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Good knowledge and understanding of SARC services or experience working in a related area.
  • Experience in client-facing support work, with excellent communication skills.
  • Conducting needs assessments and risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, Child Protection, and POVA procedures.
  • Previous experience working in a multi-agency setting.
  • Familiarity with IT programmes such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
