About the Role

The Economist is seeking a highly skilled Mobile Quality Engineering Lead to join our team. As a key member of our quality engineering team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining all quality and test activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define functional and non-functional test requirements
  • Work closely with the Head of Quality Engineering to ensure the Mobile Quality Engineering Strategy is followed
  • Coach teams in best practices and principles
  • Apply and uphold industry standards for testing tools and techniques
  • Help to define ways to improve testing and quality processes
  • Line manage all mobile quality engineers

Requirements

  • Significant experience in using native mobile test frameworks
  • Significant programming experience with native mobile test frameworks
  • Significant experience in maintaining automation frameworks for all types of testing
  • Significant experience in integrating automated tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery platforms
  • Significant experience in using software development platforms like Git
  • Significant experience in gathering and reporting quality and test metrics
  • Strong communication skills
