The Role

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team at Fortem Cares, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our properties. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for carrying out reactive maintenance, repairs, and renewals on a variety of roof types, including slate tile repairs, flat roof repairs, and general roof maintenance.

The Project

You will work on a wide range of projects, from residential to communal roofs, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard with minimal supervision. Your tasks will include repairing and renewing guttering, working on scaffolds, and carrying out scaffold inspections. You will also be responsible for fault diagnosis and communicating additional works required to your Supervisor/Line Managers.

Essential and Desirable Criteria

Essential Criteria:

  • PASMA trained and experience of carrying out scaffold inspections (training will be provided if you do not have this)
  • Good knowledge of H&S and working at height
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Past experience in a Responsive Repairs role
  • Certificate or NVQ in Roofing, or equivalent
