Job Title: Academic Accounting

Armstrong Knight is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for the financial management of our group, including the integration of our Sage Eque II real-time group management system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of the financial planning and management of our group, including the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting to the Group Finance Director.
  • Liaise with the Finance Director to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, and to identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with the Group Finance Manager to ensure the successful implementation of our financial systems and processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our trading companies, providing financial guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
Requirements:
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) with experience of accounting within a group reporting structure.
  • Strong IT skills, including experience with Sage accounting products and advanced Excel/Power BI skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong commercial skills, with the ability to provide financial guidance and support to our trading companies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
