We are seeking a highly skilled Bus Maintenance Technician to join our team at First Bus.

The RoleThe successful Bus Maintenance Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and carrying out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement. They will also diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used.
This includes:
- Diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment.
- Carrying out routine vehicle examinations and servicing.
- Attending on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries.
- Carrying out vehicle road testing to identify specific defects or following remedial repairs.
The successful candidate must have a minimum level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent in mechanics, with proven on-the-job work experience in either bus and coach, HGV/LGV, car or van garage.
They must also hold a full Cat B license and have experience with overhaul and repair of vehicle systems, including engines, automatic/semi-automatic gearboxes, drive trains, compressed air systems, hydraulic systems, braking systems, steering systems, suspension systems, cooling systems, and basic auto electrics.
We offer a competitive salary of £36,595.52 per annum, plus a joining bonus of £2,000.
