At Prospero Teaching, we're on the lookout for a compassionate and skilled Learning and Development Support Specialist to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspirational and engaging individual to make a real difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the Fleetwood area.


As a Learning and Development Support Specialist, you'll be providing one-to-one support to students with SEN requirements, helping them to achieve their full potential. We're looking for someone who is patient, empathetic, and able to create and deliver tailored learning plans that cater to each student's unique needs.


The successful candidate will have a therapeutic approach to re-engage students with their learning, providing structure and support to help them overcome challenges and reach their goals. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people and is willing to think outside the box to meet their needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN requirements
  • Create and deliver tailored learning plans to meet individual student needs
  • Use a therapeutic approach to re-engage students with their learning
  • Work closely with the student, their family, and other professionals to provide a comprehensive support package
  • Monitor student progress and report back to Prospero Teaching

Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience
  • UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential
  • Be creative, patient, and willing to think outside of the box
  • Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references
