Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our team at The Red Lion, a warm and welcoming village pub with rooms nestled in the Northamptonshire countryside.
About the RoleAs a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. Your main duties will include:
- Ensuring basic cleaning jobs are carried out efficiently
- Collecting and washing up pots and pans
- Cleaning food preparation areas and equipment, as well as crockery and cutlery
- Unloading food and equipment deliveries
- Keeping the store room organised
- Keeping work surfaces, walls, and floors clean and sanitised
- Assisting with food preparation, including preparing salads or desserts
- Performing other duties as required, including deep cleans and laundry of kitchen towels and aprons
We are looking for someone with some previous exposure to a kitchen environment, who is able to work on their own initiative and has a desire to learn and improve. You should be a proud individual who always strives to deliver their best and have a passion for fresh food.
