About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our team at The Red Lion, a warm and welcoming village pub with rooms nestled in the Northamptonshire countryside.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the kitchen is well-organised and clean, with all equipment and utensils in good working order.
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing and peeling vegetables, and preparing salads and desserts.
  • Unload food and equipment deliveries, and keep the store room tidy and well-organised.
  • Perform deep cleans and laundry of kitchen towels and aprons as required.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
What We're Looking For
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a passion for fresh food and excellent customer service.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment, although not essential.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • A desire to learn and improve, with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
