Job Overview
RED Engineering Design is seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Technical Director to join our London office. This role involves leading a team of engineers and overseeing the development and coordination of engineering project services. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in specification design for various building types, excellent leadership and mentoring skills, and a sound understanding of health and safety issues and legislation.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and specify applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building engineering services purposes
- Surveys, tests, and reports on existing electrical/mechanical installations
- Fiscal and commercial management of projects to ensure they return the target margin
- Leadership and hands-on delivery of monitoring of construction and installation on projects

Requirements
- BSc/BEng in an appropriate engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- MCIBSE/MIEE or HND/HNC + appropriate experience or equivalent
- Chartered Eng status
- Significant experience of specification design for a range of building types

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is £80,000-£100,000 per annum, depending on experience. RED offers a comprehensive benefits package, including 23 days annual leave rising to 28 days over 5 years' service, holiday purchase and buy back scheme, hybrid working, contributory company pension scheme, and healthcare scheme via salary sacrifice.
