About the Role

We are seeking a Casual Community Support Worker to join our team at Lancashire County Council. As a Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with their daily lives, providing care and assistance with personal tasks, household chores, and other essential activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Support with household chores, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Accompany individuals to appointments, activities, and outings, promoting social interaction and community engagement.
  • Monitor and report any changes in an individual's condition, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Requirements

  • Empathetic and understanding nature, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals and their families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
  • Basic knowledge of health and social care principles, with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
