About the Role:

The Cumbria County Council seeks a highly skilled AutoCAD Expert to develop solutions to various traffic management issues, conduct surveys, and create scheme designs. This Senior CAD Technician will work on highway improvements, including parking schemes, speed limit changes, pedestrian crossings, and road safety enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement traffic management strategies
  • Conduct surveys and gather data
  • Create high-quality design schemes using AutoCAD
  • Compile works packages and liaise with teams
  • Provide advice on policies and regulations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., civil engineering, architecture)
  • 5+ years of experience in highway infrastructure development
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and mapping software
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Valid UK driving license
