Job Title: Lead Clinical Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Clinical Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at The Harborne Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading clinical pharmacy services to all non-cancer areas & specialties across the Hospital.

About the Role

The post-holder will oversee clinical development, education, and training; ensuring continuous development of members of the Pharmacy and multidisciplinary team. You will lead quality/process improvement projects and work with other clinical leads to provide leadership for and support the technical team to ensure responsive dispensary services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead clinical pharmacy services to all non-cancer areas & specialties across the Hospital.
  • Oversee clinical development, education, and training of Pharmacy and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Lead quality/process improvement projects.
  • Work with other clinical leads to provide leadership for and support the technical team to ensure responsive dispensary services.
  • Line management responsibilities for Senior and Junior Pharmacy Staff.
Requirements
  • Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council, with a BPharm, MPharm or BSc in Pharmacy.
  • Additional postgraduate clinical qualification e.g. Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or other relevant post-graduation qualification.
  • Extensive hospital experience (essential).
  • Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (desirable).
  • Specialist clinical pharmacy knowledge and experience in specialties including cardiovascular, orthopaedic & spinal, digestive diseases & transplant services (essential).
