Electronics Design Expert

An exciting opportunity with a leading underwater engineering provider has arisen for an Electronics Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will provide engineering design solutions and support to the company's product range, working closely with internal departments to ensure the best technical outcome.
Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this position is estimated to be between £40,000-£50,000 per annum, with a comprehensive benefits package including 25 days' holiday, flexible working, private medical insurance, bonus scheme, and excellent training and career progression opportunities.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support to the existing product range, ensuring seamless integration and efficient delivery.
- Contribute to new product design, incorporating client or internal specifications and requirements.
- Assess technical queries and provide innovative engineering solutions to a diverse portfolio of products.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Sourcing suitable components and materials as needed.
- Creation of part numbers and bill of materials.
- Development of engineering documentation, including specifications, proposals, assembly instructions, test procedures, certification, and reports.
- Review of detailed manufacturing drawings and documentation.
- Ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery of engineering solutions.
- Adherence to engineering and company standards and processes.
- Site visits to other offices and client assets as required.
- Accountability and responsibility for technical checking of drawings and documentation generated in support of the Electronics Engineer role.
- Compliance with internal and external standards and regulations.
The ideal candidate will possess proven electrical/electronic design skills, experience with circuit design for embedded systems (STM32 or similar), and expertise in writing embedded software (STM IDE or similar). Knowledge of electronic systems, designing for EMC compliance, PCB schematic capture using software such as Altium Designer, and generating design calculations are essential. Familiarity with IPC design standards is also desirable.
