As a Technical Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing electrical control systems for our client's specialized process and packaging equipment.

The company serves a variety of industries, including Pharmaceutical, Aerosol, Coatings, and Adhesives, offering a full range of services from design to commissioning.

This position involves working with PLC-based electrical control systems, programming touchscreens and safety-configurable relay systems, and integrating ancillary equipment into production lines.

You will also be responsible for fault-finding electrical control systems, PLCs, and hardwired systems, as well as commissioning and supporting work at customers' sites.

A certain amount of travel is required to support our worldwide customer base, and training will be provided to familiarize you with the specialist equipment.

Position Overview

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and implementing electrical control systems from design specifications
  • Programming PLC, touchscreen, and safety-configurable relay systems
  • Configuring remote I/O, servo motor, and inverter drives
  • Integrating ancillary equipment into production lines
  • Fault finding electrical control systems, PLC, and hardwired systems
  • Commissioning, support, and service work at customers' sites

Position Requirements

  • Requirements:
  • Good understanding of electrical drawings, control panel specification/design, PLC programming, touchscreens, and controls along with an understanding of vision and SCADA systems
  • Experience of the pharma industry and/or explosive atmosphere regulations is desirable
  • HND or Degree in a relevant field
  • 3 years' experience in a similar position
