About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical System Specialist to join our team as a Fire Alarm Maintenance Engineer in Kent, UK.

As a Fire Alarm Maintenance Engineer with Johnson Controls, Inc., you will be responsible for servicing Fire Alarm Systems to relevant industry standards, providing exceptional customer service and identifying potential issues before they occur.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide excellent customer service to exceed expectations and requirements of internal and external customers, establishing and maintaining effective relationships.
  2. Service fire alarm devices safely and responsibly, avoiding injuries, damage to property, and loss of materials.
  3. Manage time efficiently, prioritizing jobs correctly and completing engineer work reports or checklists as necessary.

Requirements:

  1. Experience within the fire industry, with knowledge of repair and maintenance of large systems, including mainstream and top-end fire, gas, and aspiration systems.
  2. Working knowledge of industry standards and logical troubleshooting approaches, along with good computer skills.
  3. Previous experience working in a customer-facing environment.
  4. Must hold a full clean driving license.
  5. Able to lift and climb ladders comfortably, working at height without issue.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Hold current relevant qualifications in the industry, such as 18th edition/NVQ/City and Guilds/BTEC/FIA.
