About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Workshop Engineer to join our team at Aggreko. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our diesel generators, ensuring they are in optimal working condition to meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fault finding and repair of diesel generators
  • Load testing of generators 20-2000KVA
  • Major engine repairs and overhauls
  • Assess genset condition on returning fleet to SRC
  • Modification/upgrades to genset fleet
  • Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems
  • Knowledge of engine ECM programming/diagnostics would be advantageous
  • Programming of control modules
Requirements
  • Educated to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering/mechanical subject (can include apprenticeship)
  • Experience servicing, repairing large engines (generators, HGV, plant equipment, agricultural machinery)
  • Good organisational & communication skills
  • Good level of PC literacy including basic MS Office applications
  • Well organised and capable of keeping vehicle to GSCS standards
