**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Workshop Engineer to join our team at our Swindon site. As a Mechanical Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel generators, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Fault finding and repair of diesel generators
  • Load testing of generators to ensure they meet KVA requirements
  • Major engine repairs and overhauls
  • Assessing genset condition on returning fleet to our Swindon site
  • Modification and upgrades to genset fleet
  • Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems
  • Knowledge of engine ECM programming and diagnostics
  • Programming of control modules

**Requirements**

  • Education to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering or mechanical subject
  • Experience in servicing and repairing large engines, including generators, HGV, plant equipment, and agricultural machinery
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Good level of PC literacy, including basic MS Office applications
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
