Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, submit, and manage planning applications, ensuring compliance with local and national planning policies.
  • Conduct site appraisals and feasibility studies.
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to provide expert planning advice.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of planning strategies for various projects.
  • Support senior planners in larger projects while independently handling smaller-scale projects.
  • Prepare reports and deliver presentations to clients and planning committees.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in a planning role, preferably within a consultancy or local authority.
  • Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Membership or working towards membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is desirable.
