The Company:Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a consultancy firm with a strong reputation for delivering innovative planning solutions across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare, submit, and manage planning applications, ensuring compliance with local and national planning policies.
- Conduct site appraisals and feasibility studies.
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to provide expert planning advice.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of planning strategies for various projects.
- Support senior planners in larger projects while independently handling smaller-scale projects.
- Prepare reports and deliver presentations to clients and planning committees.
- A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in a planning role, preferably within a consultancy or local authority.
- Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and procedures.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Membership or working towards membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is desirable.
