Ecological Project Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Ecologist to lead our internal Ecology team in delivering a wide range of ecological services to engineering, construction, and operational projects across our region.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, support, and mentor a team of ecologists to provide high-quality ecological services.
- Collaborate with design teams to reduce and mitigate ecological impacts.
- Develop and implement effective ecological strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage projects, workload, and deadlines with a high level of organisational skills.
- Conduct UKHab and protected species appraisal surveys, and prepare ecological reports and assessments.
- Stay up-to-date with the UK planning process and legal framework, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Significant experience in a project delivery-focused ecological role, with experience in people management and leadership.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work with colleagues, technical specialists, and external organisations.
- Competent in the use of GIS (ArcGIS) and Biodiversity Net Gain.
- A clean UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
