Ecological Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Ecologist to join our team at Wessex Water. As an Ecologist, you will play a key role in ensuring that our projects are delivered in a way that minimizes harm to the environment and maximizes benefits for local ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead on ecological surveys and assessments for projects, including UKHab and protected species appraisal surveys.
- Develop and implement ecological mitigation and compensation measures to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that ecological considerations are integrated into project design and delivery.
- Provide expert advice on ecological issues and develop strategies to minimize environmental impacts.
- Manage and coordinate ecological data collection and analysis, including the use of GIS and other tools.
- Relevant degree in ecology, environmental science, or a related field.
- Significant experience in ecological project delivery, including survey and assessment work.
- Strong understanding of UK environmental regulations and policies.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
