Opportunity to Join a Renowned Team
We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant to join our Respiratory Department at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Pleural, Lung Cancer and Interventional Bronchoscopy team, working alongside internationally renowned experts in the field.
The Oxford Pleural Unit is at the forefront of research, training, and clinical innovation, performing more pleural biopsies than any other centre in the UK. The lung cancer team is similarly forward-thinking, implementing the nationally recognised REDS cancer pathway at the local Community Diagnostic Centre.
As a Consultant, you will contribute to clinical and procedural work, research, quality improvement, and service development, as well as educational aspects of the service. You will work closely with Thoracic Surgical colleagues to deliver a wide range of interventional procedures, including ultrasound-guided techniques, thoracoscopy, rigid bronchoscopy, stenting, endobronchial valves, and navigational bronchoscopy.
The Trust leads work aligned to deliver novel pathways incorporating AI and nodule follow-up, and has recently implemented a Targeted Lung Health Check Programme. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the substantial research agenda in the University of Oxford.
