About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Aramark. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility for the overall kitchen operation in the absence of the Head Chef
  • General production of breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Maintain food hygiene, service, and presentation to a high standard
  • Support the Head Chef in managing the day-to-day running of the kitchen, including managing wastage and paperwork
  • Deliver private and official functions
  • Follow recipes and prepare food for service
  • Manage all associated administration tasks
  • Deliver first-class food throughout service
  • Share responsibility for checking, probing, and signing of all food deliveries to ensure only the highest standard of produce is accepted into the unit
  • Assist the Head Chef in evaluating the training needs of the kitchen staff
Requirements
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Relevant culinary experience operating at a Sous Chef level
  • Third-level qualification (HACCP/Culinary Arts/Professional Cookery)
  • A great passion for food and service
  • Flexible approach to hours and duties
  • IT literate, numerate, and able to communicate across cross-discipline stakeholders
