Fleet Workshop Manager/Fleet Controller

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Workshop Manager/Fleet Controller to join our team at Veolia UK. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the management and control of our internal workshop, ensuring the availability of legally compliant and safe vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support operational performance by ensuring the availability of legally compliant and safe vehicles.
  • Manage a team of up to 20 staff, including skilled fitters, semi-skilled fitters, apprentices, and fleet administrators.
  • Responsible for the cost-effective procurement of parts and maintenance of the fleet.
  • Responsible for planning and organizing work for staff.
  • Improving the efficiency of the fleet, with the view to reduce accidents and costs, whilst improving standards.
  • Compliance with all Company, Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • HGV Class 2 licence - desirable.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of fleet management and maintenance procedures.
