Role Overview

The Great Western Hospital is seeking an exceptional Clinical Lead to join our dynamic Endocrinology & Diabetes department. This exciting opportunity offers a unique blend of clinical expertise, leadership skills, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Consultant Physician to lead our weight management services and contribute to the development of our Endocrinology & Diabetes department. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our specialist nurses, endocrine specialists, clinical psychologists, dieticians, podiatry service, and radiology facilities to provide high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve patient outcomes and streamline clinical processes
  • Leading multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborating with colleagues to achieve departmental goals
  • Clinically leading and coordinating our weight management services, including outpatient clinics and multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Working closely with GPs and other healthcare professionals to provide advice and support via our Cinapsis platform
  • Contributing to the development of new initiatives and projects that enhance patient care and experience
  • Participating in quality improvement activities and sharing best practices with colleagues

Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must hold a CCT or equivalent qualification in Endocrinology & Diabetes, be fully registered with the GMC, and have MRCP (UK) or equivalent. You should also possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
