The Opportunity:

An exciting research opportunity is available to contribute to our understanding of autophagy and its role in aging and age-related diseases.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled postdoctoral research fellow to join our laboratory at the University of Edinburgh. The lab focuses on investigating key events during autophagy initiation, progression, and lysosomal degradation, as well as the relevance of autophagy in disease. A current project involves uncovering molecular events underlying lysosomal degradation of autophagic cargo using cell biology and biochemical techniques.

Ideal candidates have a good publication record, experience in basic molecular techniques, and excellent technical skills. You should be able to design, execute, and interpret experiments, demonstrate creative thinking, good presentation skills, problem-solving ability, self-motivation, and critical analysis.
