Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver Nights

We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team on a night shift basis. The ideal candidate will have a valid UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement, a valid and in-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card, and a clean driving record.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering palletized parcels to sub-depots and delivery units, conducting collections, and ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods. They will also be required to maintain a clean and organized vehicle, collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams for efficient operations, and complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver palletized parcels to sub-depots and delivery units
  • Conduct collections
  • Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams for efficient operations
  • Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
Requirements:
  • Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C)
  • Valid and in-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card
  • No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only)
  • Full understanding of WTD legislation
  • Ability to operate tail lift and pump truck equipment
  • Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A safety-first mindset
