Sanctions Compliance Specialist

About the Role:
The Government Sanctions Group is responsible for ensuring the firm's compliance with sanctions programs administered by various global authorities. This involves coordinating the team's day-to-day reference data screening process to ensure smooth execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct reviews of sanctions alerts resulting from the firm's transaction and reference data sanctions screening processes.
- Initiate and pursue investigations using internal tools and third-party research to resolve complex alerts under the supervision of experienced Vice Presidents.
- Liaise with business, operations, and technology divisions to collect information relevant to potential sanctions concerns and provide sanctions-related advice to internal constituencies.
- Develop and enhance sanctions-related policies and procedures documents across the firm's lines of business.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 2-3 years of experience in sanctions-related roles within the financial services industry or a relevant government agency/regulator is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary: The estimated salary range for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
