Key Responsibilities

As a Social Worker with our Family Assessment and Support Teams, you will be responsible for working with children, young people, and their families to provide support and guidance. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing the needs of children and families, and developing individualized plans to address these needs.
  • Working with children, young people, and their families to provide support and guidance, and to help them access appropriate resources and services.
  • Collaborating with other professionals, such as education and health services, to ensure that children and families receive comprehensive support.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with community partners, including local organizations and agencies.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child protection legislation, practice, and court processes, and will be able to demonstrate creativity and critical thinking skills in their approach. They will also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively with diverse populations.

The salary for this role is £39,230 - £42,344 per annum pro rata, plus relocation support. In addition to a comprehensive training and learning offer, you will enjoy flexible working arrangements, hybrid working options, and a supportive team environment.
