Job Opportunity: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher to join our Special School Primary School in Westcliff-on-Sea. This full-time role offers a permanent contract and is perfect for someone who wants to make a long-term impact in special education.

About the Role: As an SEND Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering creative and tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students. You will work closely with a team of teaching assistants and support staff to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive, both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Planning: Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of SEND students.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Relationship Building: Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and external professionals.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment conducive to learning.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Teaching Qualification: A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) is essential.
  • SEND Experience: Previous experience in teaching SEND students is desirable but not essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students, staff, and parents.
  • Safeguarding: A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
