Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Operations Coordinator to join our team at Principal IT. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Account Reconciliation: Perform detailed reconciliations of bank accounts, ledgers, and balance sheets to maintain accuracy in financial records.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts efficiently, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Credit Control: Assist in debt collection and invoicing.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and contribute to the development of best practices within the finance team.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to provide financial insights and support, fostering a collaborative working environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Educational Background: AAT qualification (Minimum Level 3)
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred. Experience with accounting software.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to work, ensuring all financial records are accurate and compliant with regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team Player: A collaborative attitude, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
