Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Assistant

Location: MacMillan Hub Library, Edinburgh

Estimated Salary Range: £24,346 - £24,646 (pro rata for part-time)

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our facilities management team as a part-time cleaning professional. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cleaning services across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean all surfaces, internal glass, floors, furniture, fixtures, and fittings within designated buildings
  • Clean sanitary areas, toilets, showers, and replenish washroom consumables
  • Provide emergency and re-active cleaning services as required, including graffiti removal, body fluid spillages, and accidental spillages
  • Support other tasks as necessary, including assisting with cleaning duties across various buildings
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must:

  • Be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects
  • Possess a valid keyholder qualification (training provided)
Working Arrangements

This is a part-time position working 10 hours per week, Monday-Friday from 7:00am-9:00am. Sessional hours may also be available during school term time.
