Personal Care Assistant

5 Star Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team in South East England. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to individuals with learning disabilities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and dignity at all times.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our service users. You will work as part of a dynamic team to create a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes independence, confidence, and personal growth. Your role will involve assisting with daily living tasks, promoting social inclusion, and advocating for the rights and needs of our service users.
Responsibilities- Assist service users with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals with meal preparation and eating, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
- Promote social inclusion by encouraging participation in community activities, hobbies, and interests.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of service users, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, including care plans, risk assessments, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care services.
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., healthcare, social care).
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, dementia, or mental health conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Basic life support training, with willingness to undertake further training and development opportunities.
