About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cafe Assistant to join our team at Gateshead depot. This part-time opportunity offers a great range of benefits and weekday shifts.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in the food preparation and service industry, a valid hygiene certificate, and excellent customer service and communication skills.

As a Cafe Assistant, you will report to the Cafe Manager and assist with the preparation and sale of food and beverages, maintaining a high standard of food hygiene and cleanliness of the cafe and facilities.

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Welcoming customers to the cafe and providing a high level of customer service.
  • Preparing and serving hot food and beverages.
  • Taking payments for goods and maintaining a clean and tidy working environment.
  • Assisting with inventory and ordering goods if required.
  • Upholding a high level of customer service and ensuring that health and safety rules are adhered to.

This role offers 20 hours per week, Tuesday to Thursday, 9am to 13:00 and Friday 8:00 to 16:00.
