About the Role

Gilbert Meher is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Hospital Manager to lead our new state-of-the-art development in York. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the effective management of all aspects of the hospital, ensuring the provision of high-quality standards of care and treatment.

Main Responsibilities

  • To take overall responsibility for the management of the hospital, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and legislation.
  • To lead and manage a multidisciplinary team, driving the attainment of aims and objectives linked to the organization's strategic plan.
  • To market the hospital to potential commissioners and referrers, creating new business opportunities.
  • To manage change within the service, meeting the demands of new business.

Main Duties & Tasks

  • To demonstrate professional leadership, providing hands-on management support and guidance to staff.
  • To assume line management responsibilities for the senior management team and lead clinicians, providing operational support and direction.
  • To take responsibility for setting and monitoring budgets, capital, and revenue.
  • To oversee recruitment, employment, and working practices, ensuring compliance with Employment Law and contractual obligations.
  • To participate in conferences and marketing opportunities as an ambassador for the organization.
  • To take a lead responsibility for the provision and management of on-call systems.
  • To ensure the effective health, welfare, and safeguard needs of all individuals are met in line with legislation.
  • To take a lead role in the provision of the review process, ensuring review reports are of a professional standard.

Requirements

  • To have worked as a Registered Manager before, with experience of managing a clinical team.
  • To have completed a QCF (NVQ) level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
