About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Ward Manager at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for managing the ongoing developments and delivery of care to males in an acute care setting.

Main Responsibilities

As a Ward Manager, you will be accountable for your own actions in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct. You will contribute to corporate objectives, acting within local, Trust and statutory guidelines and policies at all times. You will effectively communicate information regarding clinical decisions, policy and care pathways to patients/carers and the multi-professional team.

Key Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a skilled practitioner and clinical leader who can provide support to the management team, participate in service/policy development, and contribute to the clinical assessment of patients and management of a team. You will need to have high-quality clinical and managerial skills to ensure the maintenance of current high standards of effective delivery of patient care.

Person Specification

We are looking for a Registered Nurse or Occupational Therapist with experience of managing and leading teams. Experience of working in an acute or older adult inpatient setting is an advantage.
