Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer will lead the electromagnetic design for assigned projects, collaborating closely with Senior EEs. The role involves high-speed permanent magnet alternators and motors, utilizing in-house and commercial design software for lumped parameter calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The EE will interact with other design functions, including mechanical and design/drafting, while coordinating the EMAG design with associated power electronics and regulators.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform electromagnetic design analyses and calculations.
  2. Deliver analysis results to large audiences.
  3. Collaborate with the Engineering Team to achieve internal cost targets.
  4. Meet project schedules and deadlines.
  5. Coordinate technical design efforts with other Unison resources.
  6. Generate comprehensive design and analysis reports.
  7. Thermal and structural analysis.
  8. Resolution of field issues.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience with FEA and EMAG design analysis.
